Anime Limited Unveils September 2022 Pre-orders Featuring Love Live! Nijigasaki, Summer Ghost, and Love Me, Love Me Not Blu-ray Releases

Even though it’s a couple of days later than initially planned, UK distributor Anime Limited were able to finally announce what titles they will be offering for pre-order during the month of September!

This month’s early bird list includes a couple of films, one television series and a vinyl release. All of these have been officially announced prior across different occasions.

The Relative Worlds

Release Date: 17th October 2022

Starting off with a release most will have known about already as Anime Limited began pre-orders last Thursday! The Relative Worlds is coming to Blu-ray & DVD in a collector’s edition package.

The early bird offer is £29.99 (£27 for Anime Unlimited members) and will conclude on Thursday 8th September just before the next early bird title starts.

Retailing for £39.99 SRP, the set includes a rigid box, Blu-ray case, 12-page booklet, a poster and 4 artcards. There is no English dub produced for the film, so it will be presented in Japanese audio with English subtitles. The film has also yet to be licensed in other English-speaking territories.

The Relative Worlds released in 2019 in Japan and was worked on by director & writer Yūhei Sakuragi and studio Craftar (INGRESS The Animation) alongside producer Tomohiko Ishii and music composer Hidehiro Kawai. The distributor included the film at their Screen Anime online film festival line-up.

“Shin Hazama is a normal high school boy living an ordinary life in Tokyo… a life that is about to be turned upside-down when he encounters Jin, a boy who looks identical to him but claims to originate from another world entirely. Jin’s world is one very different to our own – a world where an evil queen named Kotoko serves as its dictator, controlling all wealth and crushing any opposition with lethal force. Perhaps more importantly for Shin, the next step in Kotoko’s plan for total domination is to expand her realm by invading his world.”

Summer Ghost

Next, we have Summer Ghost coming to Blu-ray & DVD in a collector’s edition package.

Love Me, Love Me Not

Release Date: 28th November 2022

Love Me, Love Me Not released in 2020 by studio A-1 Pictures and director Toshimasa Kuroyanagi (Shonen Hollywood), and is an adaptation of the manga written by Io Sakisaka which Viz Media have also licensed under their Shojo Beat label. The film’s staff credits also include writer Erika Yoshida (Tiger & Bunny 2) and music composer Yuuji Nomi.

“Based on an award-winning manga of the same name, Love Me, Love Me Not is a tale of two girls with a very different viewpoints on love – Yuna lives her life in an idealistic world where she imagines the romance of being swept away by a charming and beautiful “prince”, while Akari is far more practical about how she sees love. Of course, it isn’t just girls that have their own perspectives, and their relationships with Kazuomi and Rio might just change their viewpoints on love in ways they would previously never have imagined.”
